Heart & Sole Downtown Day: March 6

The annual Heart & Sole 5K race comes straight through downtown on Saturday, March 6 at 9 am.  The event closes that evening with a celebration at the Whites Building.  d(a)2 will be encouraging race attendees to spend their afternoon downtown, shopping and dining, promoting that their downtown purchases will help benefit their cause. Be a part by agreeing to donate a percentage of your Saturdays sales to Heart & Sole (which benefits MCG Childrens Heart Program).  To participate, contact Lara Plocha at laraplocha@gmail.com

Ü   Winter Window Wonderland 2008 Winners

Congratulations to the winners of the 2008 Winter Window Wonderland contest.  Businesses all over downtown have decked their windows out for the holidays.  Judging was held Friday night and (drumroll here) the winners are:

Best of Show: Sanford, Bruker and Banks at 931 Broad | Most Whimsical: Schweitzer Art Glass at 980 Broad | Most Traditional: International Uniform at 1216 Broad | Best Use of Lights (corporate): The Lamar Building at 753 Broad | People's Choice Award: Two Broads on Broad (Vintage Ooollee & Costumes by Michele) at 1121 & 1125 Broad | Honorable Mentions were also given to: The Miller Theatre, The Richmond County Board of Education, and Polka Dots (Jackson Square, North Augusta).
